Six Fat Men - Lizzie Kate - FINISH 27 of 2016 - 11.09.16

So way back when in October 2011 I started this project from Lizzie Kate.  I stitched it on 14 count opalescent aida in Dragon's Eye from Crafty Kitten and I stitched it with the DMC conversion.

I've no idea why it took me a further 5 years to finish it apart from the fact that I have startitis but it's finished at last.

Stitching week ending 31.07.16

The first project I stitched on this week was C3PO from Stitch Line.  I stitched on this as part of the Back in Black SAL.

Here's what it will look like finished
Before
After

I then stitched on Six Fat Men from Lizzie Kate.  The last time I worked on this project was in 2011!  I stitched on it first for the Winter in July SAL and then also stitched on it for the Weekend Rush from Friday evening to Sunday night.  I am stitching this on 14 count opalescent aida from Crafty Kitten in Dragon's Evening Sky.

Here's what it will look like finished
Before

After

I also stitched on Frog 4 for the KLT SAL which you will see when it's released.

So only three projects stitched on this week but I'm really happy with the progress I made on Six Fat Men.

Keep stitching and smiling

Six Fat Men - 04.09.12 - Part 4 Complete

I've been working on Six Fat Men since my last update and have completed part 4.

Here is the picture of part 4.

And this is the picture of the whole thing at present.

It feels good to have a finish even if it is only a partial finish.  Rotating back now for another 10 hours on my secret project.

Updates as of 23rd February 2012

Well after my quick post last night I thought I'd update you on the progress for which I can show you pictures.

First update is of the plastic canvas nativity.  I completed the smallest piece of the set which is the baby Jesus in the manger.

I'm very close to finishing the largest piece of the set which is the background, I just need to fill in the blue and do the back stitching.

I've done a little bit more on the Six Fat Men.

Finally this is a picture of what I am going to add to my rotation next.  It's called String of Hearts and was in issue 206 of Cross Stitch Collection.

Six Fat Men, Gerbera Daisies & Living with Charm as of 19.12.11

Sorry I haven't updated for a while but I've not been at all well, still not 100% to be honest.

I finished the third part of Six Fat Men a few days ago and here's the picture.

I've also managed to get some stitching in on Living with Charm.

I also picked up a UFO which is so near to completion I don't know why I stopped stitching on it.  It's my gerbera daisy cushion and is now 84% complete.

I'm starting to put my list together for the 2012 WIPocalypse and am looking forward to making some progress towards some finishes.  I think I've decided not to take part in the Crazy January Challenge but I am going to try and stitch some much smaller projects over the next 12 months so that I can have some finishes.

Six Fat Men as of 15.11.11 - Part 2 Complete

It's been nearly a month since my last update and I only have one photo to show you.  I have been stitching on other items but unfortunately I can't show you pictures of these at the moment as they are all gifts.

I got back to doing Six Fat Men and have now finished part 2.  I would love to have this finished for this Christmas but I'm not putting any pressure on myself as this normally leads to me giving up on a project entirely.

So here's my update with part 2 complete.

The picture really doesn't do the colours justice they really pop against the fabric and I just love how it's all coming together.

I was overwhelmed this week to receive three RAKs from HAED from a friend whose blog I've been following for a while.  I am desperate to start this one

It's a Lisa Steinke design and as I have blogged previously I love her artwork and just can't wait to make a start on this.

I am also contemplating taking part in the 2012 Crazy January Challenge so I'm thinking of little projects that I can start as part of that.

Six Fat Men as of 16.10.11 - Part 1 Complete

I started another new project this week!!  It's the Six Fat Men Series from Lizzie Kate and I am stitching it on 14 count opalescent aida in Dragon's Evening Sky from Crafty Kitten Fabrics.  As soon as I got the fabric in the post I had to start stitching and here is the first Snowman complete.

I love the design and I love the way the colours pop out against the fabric.  I've got the second part of the series all ready and I hope to have the other four parts in the next few weeks and I will hopefully get the entire piece stitched before Christmas.

I also got a little under 700 stitches done on Train of Dreams and I was loving stitching it but just couldn't resist this new start.  Can't decide what to stitch on next so think I'll sleep on it and see how I feel tomorrow.

Just to update you on my previous posts about baby Isla, unfortunately she lost her battle and went to be an angel.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Week beginning 21st July 2024

I'm happy to say that following on from a poor stitching week last week I've had a great week this week.  Achieved all my goals and ...
