My focus piece at the moment is the KLT Frog SAL and I am working on this project for at least an hour a day. You will see my progress on this piece as each frog is released.
My monthly SAL piece is Mini Beach Hut in Moonlight by Michael Powell and I hope to stitch on this for an hour a day but I was so busy last week that I didn't get anything done on this piece.
My next SAL was the last five days of the Crazy 7.
My Day 3 project was Elegant Trio from Cross Stitch Gold Magazine.
Here's my progress.
Day 4 project was Angel of Love from Lavender and Lace.
My progress.
Day 5 was Watercolour Gerberas from Riolis. This was a kit I was sent free and I will be doing a more detailed post reviewing it.
Progress.
Day 6 was Sleeping Beauty from Mirabilia
Progress
Day 7 was actually done a day late as I unfortunately spent over 10 hours in hospital on the day I was due to start it. I didn't actually need the operation I went in for which was a great relief. So a day late I started Not Quite Whitework from Northern Expressions Needlework.
Progress
On Sunday 24th July it was the Back in Black SAL and I stitched on C3P0 from Stitch Line.

Hope you're looking forward to seeing next weeks projects as much as I am looking forward to stitching on them.

Mystery Frog SAL - Frog 2 - KLT Charting - FINISH 23 of 2016
I was again lucky enough to be asked to model stitch the Frog mystery SAL for KLT Charting. Being asked to model stitch means I also get to see the whole chart before the participants and I have to stitch each section before it is released to the participants.
I have permission to release my pictures of each part of the design as they are released to the participants of the SAL.
If you would like to join in with this SAL you can do so here.
I am stitching this on 18 count January's Boy dyed by KLT Charting.
Frog number 2 is filled in with Genie of the Ring from Jodyri Designs. As with the Owl SAL I did earlier in the year I am counting each of these frogs as a finish so this is finish number 23 of 2016. Here's frog number 2:
And here's the whole frog family so far.

Stitching - week ending 17.07.16
So it may not come as a surprise to anyone that I have changed my mind about how I am rotating my projects.
I am going to try a SAL orientated rotation and so far this week it seems to be working quite nicely.
The first project I worked on was part of a SAL in Stitch Maynia called It's a Sunshine Day. For this SAL I chose a kit by Michael Powell called Mini Beach Hut in Moonlight. I have to say I am rather obsessed with Beach Huts as when I was a child we always used to go to Boscombe and rent a Beach Hut and we basically spent all day everyday on the beach. This is a month long SAL so I am working on this project for an hour a day most days.
Here's what it will look like when it's finished:-
And here's where I am up to after stitching on it for 3 hours over 3 days.
Then because I am completely crazy I started the Crazy 7 SAL in Cross Stitch and Discuss - 7 new starts in 7 days.
Day 1 start - H by Nora Corbett
and what I got stitched:
Day 2 of the Crazy Challenge - J by Nora Corbett
and what I got done
I've also been stitching on Frog number 4 for the KLT Mystery SAL but obviously won't be able to show pictures of that until it's released.
So coming up next week we have the rest of the Crazy 7, the ongoing It's a Sunshine Day SAL, also the Specialty Stitch SAL on 22nd July and the Back in Black SAL on 24th July. Should be interesting and I definitely won't get bored!

Then on Friday I started the Weekend Rush from Cross Stitch Finish Line. For this I stitched on Mini Bookworm Fairy by Hannah Lynn. I managed to stitch 870 stitches over the weekend on this.

Masquerade SK - Ching Chui Kuik - 12.07.16
Having recently sorted through all my stash and WIPs I have come across some projects that have been left untouched for far too long.
The last time I worked on Masquerade SK was 28.04.11. This is what she looked like when I last worked on her. When I was stitching on her previously I was going through the whole chart with each colour and completing every stitch with that colour. When I picked the project up again there was a colour in the face which looked wrong and also in the arm. Added to this it was extremely difficult to work out where there were stitches missing and what colour I needed to work them in.
So I made a decision to restart. I really like this chart but was struggling to stitch on the original. I had the perfect sized piece of DMC Magic Guide 18 count so here's how it looks now.
When it comes to the section on the face where the colour did not work I will look and see if it is the dye lot on my thread or try and substitute it out for a colour which blends better.
I am still trying to work out how to rotate between projects to give them the time I want to but also work on a wide range. I'm trying to look at SALs in the various Facebook groups I am in and try and fit pieces into them to see how that goes. I know have 106 projects in my XStitch App and more I want to start too!
